MOSCATO D'ASTI D.O.C.G

MOSCATO D'ASTI D.O.C.G

Grape Variety: 100% Moscato.

Origin: Castiglione Tinella.

Soil: Calcareous, chalky.

Harvest: Hand-picked grapes in early September.

Winemaking: The juice is quickly separated from the skins and kept at very cold temperatures. The fermentation is done with selected yeasts and once there is about 5.5% alcohol, we again lower the temperature to stop the fermentation (and retain its delicious sweetness). Once cold-stabilized, we then filter and bottle the wine to capture the aromatics and youthful freshness of the wine.

Appearance & color: Light straw color with small bubbles from the CO2.

Nose: Smells like a basket of fresh, aromatic grapes.

Flavor: Mildly sweet and gently fizzy so it tickles the palate. Fruity and grapey flavors.

Alcohol: 5,5%

Food Pairings: Fruit desserts, gelato with berries, fruit pies and tarts, cookies, meringue desserts, etc.

Serving temperature: 6-8° C (42-46 F)
